THIS BAT MITZVAH WAS VIDEOGRAPHER HEAVEN! Great special-effects lighting bouncing off the dancers, irrisistable music by DJ Aaron Hillier and a few dozen kids going gangbusters on the dancefloor. This bat mitzvah reception highlight is all about the DANCING!

Broad, sweeping camera movements mixed with close-ups galore define this short, action-packed highlight. Stunning shots, as you’ll witness in the clip below from our DOLLY CAMERA rigged for easy mobility and quick response – It was roll and shoot all night long with a rig built for high action coverage. Visually, the footage just can’t be beat! 

It’s about having the right tools and technique. Our time-tested technique of coasting around the dancers on the floor gives the video a distinct cinematic flavor. You’ll see examples of this throughout the highlight. BTW, my Sony PXW-Z280v is just brilliant for this kind of event, handling the lighting and focus challenges with ease and perfection. What a great tool!

Fast-paced, totally entertaining highlight from Jade’s recent bat mitzvah video filmed at Temple Beth El, San Pedro by local videographer, Marc Gold, of 24ktsound.com, also in San Pedro.

We use an extraordinary camera with auto-facial-focus that performs brilliantly in this kind of ‘disco’ lighting and delivers brilliant color and picture quality as well as crystal clear audio. The people on camera literally never fall out of focus!

Meticulous editing is a part of every production where colors are finessed and the moments that are filmed are woven into a compelling story of the day’s events.

The highlights below include several clips from the ceremony and reception all set to music, as well as a montage of still images taken from the live video, and, oh yes, tons and tons of dancing!! presented in music-video style for maximum entertainment value. 

This highlight reel has been highly condensed, down to three minutes from a 3 hour production. In addition to this short edit, the Stein family will receive the full-length, three hour long video. This is truly the stuff that lifelong memories are made of!

BEHOLD! A truly magical Bar Mitzvah Video with an enchanted, mystifying theme! Enjoy the “frights & sounds” of this fast paced highlight filmed at Big Door Studios in El Segundo. Fasten your seatbelt! This one will absolutely sweep you away to a world won’t believe. Dungeons, dragons, magical creatures and 100 highly entertained kids, and, oh yes, me, the videographer. Will our young Bar Mitzvah boy slay the dragon? We’ll soon see!

This setting was DARK! and our cameras rose to the occasion delivering stunningly sharp, clear images in a nearly pitch-black environment. The results were amazing to see and were greatly appreciated, particularly by me.

At 24KT Sound & Video the goal in creating photo montages is always to make each and every photo look better than the original, no matter what it looked like when we got it. Having the proper software is one of the key elements. The other is the editor and his skill in composition, color correction and knowing how to use the scopes and other tools that give ‘picture perfect’ results.

Often, the client has specific directions that need to be followed, particularly in how the photos fall with the underlying music. It’s sometimes requested that a specific photo coincide with a particular phrase in the lyrics of a song, enhancing the dramatic impact of that particular segment. This was the case with the montage shown here. A lot of planning went into the timing of the last few photos to make it feel “just right”. In the end the client was very pleased, but, just as importantly, so was I.

(FYI The cameras we use are particularly well suited to theater events. With automatic facial recognition, faces are sharp as a tack, even as the actors move around the stage.
