This colorful promo for Mountain Springs Mineral Water, filmed on a beautifully designed master set, features bubbly, thirst-quenching sparkling water as it’s being poured and enjoyed by a youthful crowd of poolside party-goers on a hot summer day. The Hamilton Khaki X-Wind featured in this product video was filmed on a reflective, black glass tabletop with minimalistic lighting. Just a couple of small, focusable desktop lamps provide the shaped light and high, dramatic contrast that I was looking for to show off this product. The lights are NEXT LED’s with magnetic bases that I attach to a three pound barbell weight for stability on the tabletop. Their long goosenecks allow them to be easily positioned to create the desired cone of light. The light intensity can be regulated to provide exactly the right illumination.
The watch itself is a work of art with many features that lend themselves to macro videography, not only on the face of the watch, but on the back side where the mainspring, gear train, escapement and a balance wheel can be seen in motion.
The music and professional narration add to the drama of the video, making it a unique, convincing and informative promo.

Been playing around with my Iphone 12 Pro Max attached to a Zhiyun Smooth 4 gimble at the end of a telescoping graphite boom pole. Landed this favorite shot of mine and a recent bar mitzvah. Picture quality is 1080p and very compatible with the footage from my Sony camcorders. Getting some very impressive results. The rig is very light and easy to move around.
Spent a beautiful day with my camera and good friend and pro photographer, Cameron Mitchell, over at Royal Palms, one of my favorite South Bay beaches. Cameron’s an accomplished videographer as well so I knew he’d get some great shots. Would’ve done more standing on the boulders that line the beach but my legs got too wobbly so we opted for mostly level ground and spent an hour getting some award-winning photos.
