Visually stunning two camera video highlight of Angela & Brian’s wedding filmed at St. John Fisher in Palos Verdes and the Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach. Wonderful couple! We wish them the very best!
When my client at Chapman University first contacted me she related that previous attempts to video her tap dance performances were unsuccessful because the tap sounds were muddled. No one would purchase copies of the performance once they heard what their tap sounded like.
We discussed the audio acquisition in detail and I suggested that the sound engineer at the university place mics on stage dedicated to acquiring the tapping. Fortunately, Craig stepped up and put 5 PZM mics on stage and sent that mix to my camera. The music tracks were sent on a second audio feed. I had also set up a 2nd camera at the front corner of the stage with a shotgun mic attached to it for a 2nd angle and some ambient sound for the audio mix. In post, I filtered out the bass in the tap tracks, boosted the tap sounds relative to the music and got the results in the demo below. I anxiously awaited my client’s comments after sending her the edited video. Here’s her reaction:
“WOW! LOOKS AND SOUNDS GREAT!
Dante (Dante Lara Guest Artist song: Soul Mankoussa) would like to know if there’s a way to get some of the shots from the other camera, and also if there’s a way to make it downloadable so he can put on his website and professional reel.
Thank you so much!”
So happy to hear that! Now, here’s a little highlight of Dante’s performance:
Here’s a very quick demo of a few photos that have been animated in 3D with an AfterEffects template called VoluMax. It’s quite an astounding look and lots of fun to create. There’s a short learning curve and I’m still in the learning process. Here’s the demo. Enjoy!
Want to impress a client? This 10 second clip of a VoluMax 3D animation applied to a still image taken from a client’s recent wedding video is very impressive. Here’s the link to this exceptional AfterEffects template: https://videohive.net/item/volumax-3d-photo-animator/13646883. It does take a bit of practice to perfect the moves, but there are tutorials included with the software that will walk you through it. It took about 5 minutes to create this image. Check it out.

Cheerful wedding video ceremony and reception highlight filmed at Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes and Michael’s Tuscany Room in San Pedro, CA. Some great footage of the Chapel’s 3 camera ceremony along with our own pre and post-ceremony coverage followed by the best of Tommy & Tanya’s reception highlights.
Thanks to Steve Smith at Wayfarers Chapel for providing us with a digital file of the ceremony which we incorporated into the fully edited production. A spectacular rendition of the traditional Chinese dragon dance capped off a fun-filled afternoon of events at Michael’s. Thanks also to Jeff Koven for manning our second ‘balcony’ camera which yielded some awesome aerial views of the proceedings. We’ve provided the client with the finished product on a USB drive within two weeks of their wedding. Check out our previous blog for a montage of some exceptional still images taken from their live video.
Sharp image quality from our Sony PXW X280 never disappoints. The auto facial recognition focus on that camera is amazing. Our clients’ choice of music accompanies the video.
Here’s our honeymoon gift to our newest bride and groom, Tommy and Tanya, with our sincere thanks for making 24KT Sound & Video a part of their South Bay wedding day celebration at Wayfarer’s Chapel and Michael’s Tuscany Room. This montage of stills taken from their wedding video makes a great highlight of the day’s most beautiful events. I made this for the couple to enjoy on their honeymoon while the editing of their ceremony and reception is in progress. Our Sony PXW Z280 produced this amazing picture quality.
This is our 3rd year filming for the nonprofit, AbilityFirst™ out of Pasadena, CA, whose these talented kids are seen rehearsing for their upcoming pageant and fundraiser in this short video highlight. Like a sports car that accelerates from zero to sixty in five seconds, these kids go from awkward to amazing with the help of their teachers in just a few short weeks. Teachers’ testimonials percolate throughout the video making this story a heartfelt tale of dedication and accomplishment. Congratulations to the staff for a job well done! Enjoy the clip and witness just how much good can be done when the hearts of loving people are behind the effort.
What a grand celebration it was for Camila’s South Bay quinceañera at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and Los Verdes Golf Club! The perfect event for a beautiful young lady is highlighted in this entertaining 8 minute video by South Bay videographer, Marc Gold, of 24KT Sound & Video. An upbeat music video-style intro opens the clip and segues into a medley of ceremony and reception highlights. Camila, an elegant, graceful young lady, was poised throughout the well-planned and executed event. Flawless! and Fun! The stuff that wonderful, lifelong memories are made of. Well done, Camila, and felicitaciones! So happy I could record this for you.
One minute, super high energy video highlight from Samuel’s Slay-The-Dragon-themed bar mitzvah reception filmed on an elaborate set in el Segundo, CA. In the main room, in dim lighting punctuated by brightly colored accent lights, kids planned strategies to vanquish enormous, inflated monsters and, ultimately, slay the huge green dragon. Non-stop games filled the brilliantly staged evening of fun, all very adeptly coordinated by Max Muller, Event Coordinator (maxstevenmuller@gmail.com). Max and his team spent hours before the party getting the game stations set up. They were also on hand to lead activities and assist the kids. By the way, the oven-baked pizza was to die for! I’m not a pizza eater but managed to put away 5 (thin) slices. And what could be a more appropriate dessert than dragon’s breath ice cream! Approval was unanimous. Nothing entertains quite like smoke coming out of your mouth!
Enjoy the short highlight:
Samuel’s bar mitzvah ceremony preceded the reception in the morning at Temple Menorah of Redondo Beach, a very warm, upbeat program delivered by the rabbi and cantor with a noticeable ‘family’ feel to it. I tapped into the temple sound system with the help of their audio specialist to record the 2.5 hour program. Lunch and festivities followed at the temple including a short hora and candle lighting ceremony. Then, off to Big Door Studio for the dragon hunt.
Happy to say that my new Sony Z280 performed like a champ at the reception in the very low light environment to produce vibrant color and sharp detail much beyond my expectation. I was very pleased with the results. Love to deliver this kind of quality to my clients!
